To support the refineries located in the Kaveh Industrial Town of Qeshm, in the northern part of the island, the development and implementation of the Hara Qeshm Marine Oil Terminal is underway. The project includes a marine jetty and pipeline systems designed for receiving crude oil from vessels and exporting petroleum products such as bitumen, fuel oil, marine fuel, and other products. Phase One of the project includes construction of a rock access road, two berths (one for 70,000-ton vessels and another for 7,000-ton vessels), auxiliary buildings, a seawater intake system with a capacity of 100,000 m³/day for refinery cooling and desalination, pipelines, fire detection and firefighting systems, and all required facilities based on the basic studies. The piers are connected to the shore through an access route consisting of approximately 1,380 meters of rock dyke and 580 meters of access bridge. Phase Two will include widening the access route and constructing one 45,000-ton berth and two additional 7,000-ton berths on the western side. The estimated project cost is approximately 3,000 billion IRR for Phase One and 4,000 billion IRR for Phase Two. Engineering services for this project—including basic studies, permit acquisition, project management, and project control—have been carried out by Pouya Tarh Pars Consulting Engineers.
Currently, construction activities are underway in three work fronts: rock works, jetty construction, and onshore buildings. The contracts for pipeline installation and auxiliary facilities are expected to be finalized by the end of the year.
