The construction works for the Genaveh Port Development Project commenced in Bahman 1401 (January–February 2023) following completion of the tendering process and notification of the construction contract to the contractor, Karan Darya Company. Subsequently, with the appointment of this engineering consulting firm as the Phase III Consultant in Mordad of the current year, the third component of the project, comprising site technical control and high-level supervision services, was formally established.
The construction of the breakwaters, dikes, dredging, and land reclamation works, as referred to in the above-mentioned scope, has been planned with the objective of expanding the physical dimensions of the port and, ultimately, increasing its operational capacity.
The location of the port in proximity to commercial and business areas and urban traffic routes, together with the anticipated increase in recreational and commercial travel during the autumn and winter seasons, constitutes one of the advantages of Genaveh Port, which has received particular attention from the provincial authorities.
